But having witnessed the dedication and hardwork of these artisans firsthand, we realized that bringing these textiles to you without their stories would be incomplete and unfair to the hands that made them. As a small, heartfelt initiative, our collection is fluid, ever-changing, and intentionally limited. We travel directly to weaving villages, hand-selecting each fabric firsthand. This meticulous process demands time and care. This also means that we never buy or store in bulk. For years, we have grown quietly through our small physical store, our Instagram community, and the personal rows of our WhatsApp group. Kannaki chooses to remain a small business with an intentionally limited collection for two major reasons. First and foremost, this started as a labor of love rather than a commercial venture that needs to be scaled up at any cost. It is essential to us that we never lose our affection for what we do.
